Product description:AbstractIn November 2009 Navarre applied to the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) for assistance via the third round of the Rediscover Victoria Drilling Initiative grants and was successful in its application. The aim of the program was to test an arcuate magnetic high feature that may be the alteration rim to a porphyry copper-gold system or an Avebury nickel type target. This report documents the results of a 6 hole (705 m) aircore drilling program conducted within EL4973 in January 2011. In addition to geology, this report contains geochemical and petrographic descriptions of rocks derived from the drilling program. The geology of the basement is dominated by diorite the age of which is unknown, although it is postulated to be part of the Devonian Duchembegarra Granite. However, one drill hole (BRN001) intersected mafic basement. Geochemistry of basement samples revealed only weakly anomalous Au (up to 3m @ .06 g/t Au) from the Tertiary/basement interface and anomalous Ag (3m @ 2.1 ppm) from saprolite.
