Product description:Executive Summary GeoScience Victoria (GSV) has devised a new quality assurance process. This process has been applied to qualitative and quantitative data from 11,231 drillholes drilled for gold exploration across the entire Gold Undercover area. The data was collected from the northern part of the Victorian Gold Province in western and central Victoria, where a blanket of post-mineralisation sediments covers potentially mineralised rocks. Understanding the quality of the drillhole data will aid gold exploration in areas under such cover. This report presents an overview of the process of database investigation and quality control which will be applied to all drillhole data obtained by GSV that is found to require quality assurance. The project was undertaken as part of the Gold Undercover initiative. One of the project’s aims was to make available drillhole data that has undergone a quality assurance process.
