Introduction This report provides brief summary information on primary epizonal orogenic gold ore fields in the Melbourne Zone in central Victoria. This information, largely focused on ore field grades and tonnages, was compiled as part of a quantitative assessment of undiscovered gold endowment in the northern part of the Melbourne Zone completed by GeoScience Victoria in 2008–2009 (Lisitsin et al., 2010). This compilation excludes alluvial gold deposits and numerous primary gold deposits in the Walhalla–Woods Point Belt (including the Foster Ore Field) in the eastern part of the Melbourne Zone. Those deposits were recently reviewed by Vandenberg et al. (2006)....
