Product description:

Executive Summary:
During May and June 2019, the Southeast Lachlan Ground Gravity Survey acquired 3542 new ground gravity measurements along roads and tracks across eastern Victoria and southeast New South Wales at nominal station spacings of 200 m in Victoria and 400 m in New South Wales. The survey was a collaboration between the Geological Survey of Victoria, Geological Survey of New South Wales and Geoscience Australia.

The Southeast Lachlan Ground Gravity Survey supports modelling and interpretation of the Southeast Lachlan Deep Crustal Seismic Reflection Survey (Cayley et al., In Prep) and delivers high-quality pre-competitive geoscience data to develop greater understanding of the geological architecture of southeastern Australia.

This report describes the background to the ground gravity survey, a geological overview of the project area, details about some of the operational aspects, a metadata summary (Appendix A1), Atlas Geophysics’ survey operations report (Attachment 1), and includes the processed gravity data as Attachment 2 (digital files).
