Introduction Five rocks from various localities in Victoria were dated by the Sensitive High Resolution Ion Microprobe (SHRIMP) run by PRISE at the Australian National University, Canberra. Zircon grains were separated from the rocks and mounted and examined in cathodoluminescence in order to determine the types of zircon in each sample, and suitable grains to date, using the U-Pb method.

The five rocks are dealt with separately, with a description of the rock, the VAD (Victorian Age Determination) number, the site ID in the GSV Sites database, the locality from which the sample came and the reason for dating the rock, followed by the isotopic data and results, and a discussion of the date and its significance.
