Product description:Forward In preparing a submission on the Tertiary stratigraphy of the Gippsland Basin for the 'Geology of Victoria' volume, Mr. J.B. Hocking has found it necessary to define new lithostratigraphic units for the onshore Gippsland Basin and to revise some of the existing terminology. As the 'Geology of Victoria' Editorial Committee was not in favour of the volume being used to initiate such definitions and revisions, it has decided that the Geological Survey Report series could be used for such a purpose...
