Executive Summary The Omeo Zone in Eastern Victoria produced over 19 t of gold from primary gold deposits. This production mainly came from 18 discrete mineralised areas defined as primary gold ore fields. The ore fields with primary gold production over 1 t Au are Mt Wills (8 t), Cassilis (3.8 t), Bethanga (2.9 t), Mitta Mitta (1.7 t) and Granya (1.3 t). Recovered gold grades ranged between 10 g/t and 90 g/t.

Individual ore fields are described, sources for production and other data are provided and a map showing the extent of each ore field is appended.

The grade and tonnage estimates are based on historic production records which were of a variable quality and typically incomplete. Therefore, the estimates have significant uncertainties and are likely to be conservative. Information in this report can be used in the construction of grade and tonnage models for quantitative assessments of undiscovered mineral resources.
