Product description:Introduction Mount Macedon and the adjoining district present scenic and geological features of very considerable interest and importance. The mountain rises as an almost isolated mass above a surrounding area of sedimentary rocks, and though 40 miles N.W. of Melbourne is usually distinctly visible from elevated points of the city. The maps of the area published by the early geological survey indicate many of the geological features of the district, while leaving a number unsolved.
