VCMSM Report 4 - Critical minerals geoscientific database.
| ||||||
Product description:Executive Summary:New pre-competitive geochemistry and mineralogy data were acquired to characterise the presence and form of a select number of Victoria’s known critical mineral occurrences. Five hundred and sixty-three rock samples were submitted for various analyses from known mineral occurrences, regional geological units, recent industry drilling, and legacy drill holes and representative samples from previous mapping projects stored at the Geological Survey of Victoria Drill Core Library. Metadata from these samples have been compiled into a relational database with corresponding geochemical analyses and/or mineralogy. This database was compiled to ensure the data were findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (i.e. FAIR data principles). Analyses of these data by internal and external users will enable new knowledge of Victoria’s geology and critical minerals potential. Bibliographic Reference: Andrews, T.M., 2024.
