The 1:250 000 geological map series was produced and published by the Geological Survey of Victoria between 1967 and 2001. These maps were produced in two distinct series, the first using traditional lithographic printing between 1967 and 1977, the second series using computer aided techniques between 1996 and 2001. These maps were the first series to cover all of Victoria. 45 maps were published in this series and most have two editions but some have a third edition. Also produced at this scale was the Seamless Geology of Victoria map book in 2011.
